This is a resource developed by graduate students at the George Washington University with backgrounds in English for Speakers of Other Languages, Elementary Education and Multicultural Counseling for use within classrooms and schools. Our prerogative is to develop sensitivity and awareness among teachers and educational staff about the historical, economic, political and social realities of the parents and students whom we serve on a daily basis, and to advocate for and build bridges of understanding between these mutually constitutive communities.
